Lasko 5390 Ceramic Pedestal Tower Heater

Description: For cleaning the heating element

Steps:

1. Need thin (<3/8 inches in diameter) long neck (>3.5 in) T15 torx screwdriver
2. To remove the 6 torx screws from the rear cover

3. Pull cover off from bottom utilizing gap where it meets front cover
4. Will get a bit stuck near top of heater (see next step)

5. Pull top of rear cover down (up in the picture) to get from out of the top slots
6. Be careful when removing cover for wire containing heat sensor attached to cover

7. Remove fan assembly screws (4) with Phillips head screwdriver

8. Remove squirrel cage cross flow fan cover screws (2) with Phillips head screwdriver
9. This is to gain access to fan blades

10. Clean fan blades with compressed air, cloth, etc.

11. Clean radiant heating element (exposed from removing fan assembly in prior step)

12. Remove small plastic cover at bottom of heating element (4 Phillips head screws)
