Steps:

1. Make sure the laptop is unplugged and powered off.
2. Locate the battery latches on the underside of the laptop.

3. Slide the right latch to the right until you hear it lock into place.
4. Slide the left latch to the left and hold it.

5. Slide the battery out towards you.

6. Remove the (mm) screw in between the two white manufacturer’s stickers using the Phillips #1 screwdriver.

7. Gently slide the optical disk drive out of the computer.
