Steps:
- Make sure you completely power down the computer before beginning this process.
- With your finger, push this slide to the right. The battery should pop out of place.
- Pull the battery out of its place gently.
- Lift up the flap using a plastic opening tool.
- Hold the flap back with your finger.
- Unscrew the 5.2mm screw underneath the flap.
- Once the screw is out, pull on the plastic tab to pull off the plastic cover.
- Unscrew the 5.2mm screws holding the hard drive in place.
- Gently pull the rubber hard drive mount to the side.
- Pull the drive out.
- Remove the 8.5mm screws holding the bottom half of the laptop together.
- Take a metal separater and gently pry open the back end of the laptop halves.
- Remove the connector connecting the screen and the motherboard
- Unscrew the 6.8mm screws holding the hinges of the screen to the bottom half of the computer.
- Detach the screen from the hinges of the laptop.
- Be careful not to damage the connecting wires when detaching the screen.
- Use a metal separator to carefully separate the bottom half of the laptop.
- Gently unplug the cables connecting the screen to the motherboard.
- The display assembly can now be freely separated.
- Remove the 5.4mm screws holding down the motherboard to the computer housing.
- Gently detach the cables connected to the motherboard
- The motherboard and fans can now be removed freely.
