ThinkPad X1 Carbon Battery Replacement

Description:

Steps:

1. Unscrew the seven screws located on the back of the device

2. Slide the plastic the spudger along the edge of the device to separate the keyboard tray.

3. Flip the device over and open it to lift the keyboard tray from the body of the device .

4. Gently release the ribbon cable attached to the keyboard.
5. Gently Place keyboard tray to side.

6. Unscrew the 4 screws holding the battery in place.

7. Unlock and remove the ribbon cable running over the top of the battery.

8. Gently pull the battery connection from the motherboard .
