Steps:

1. Remove the following ten screws from the bottom case of the laptop:
2. Two 6.5mm Phillips #00 Phillips screws.
3. Four 8.95mm Phillips #00 screws.
4. Four 6.25mm Phillips #00 screws.
5. The screws may be hidden underneath a rubber foot that can be removed with a spudger.

6. Use a plastic opening tool to separate the bottom cover from the laptop.
7. Lift the lower cover and pull away from the laptop.

8. Remove the eight Phillips #00 screws from the battery:
9. Six 4.65mm screws.
10. Two 4.65mm screws.

11. Lift the battery up and pull it out of the laptop.

12. Remove the four 4.58mm Phillips #00 screws from the cooling system.
13. Unscrew the five Phillips #00 screws from the heatsink.
14. These screws will remain attached to the heatsink.

15. Disconnect the fan from the motherboard.
16. This connector should be pulled upwards, not outwards.
17. Remove the fan unit.
