Steps:

  1. Disconnect all power from the laptop and turn over so the bottom is facing you.
  2. Remove the twelve 07.mm Phillips #0 screws from the back cover.
  3. Work a plastic opening tool underneath and around the perimeter of the bottom cover.
  4. Once unclipped, remove the bottom cover.

  5. Remove the two 0.7mm Phillips #00 screws from the battery and unplug the battery from the motherboard.
  6. Lift the battery out of the case.

  7. Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the hard drive ribbon cable ZIF socket.
  8. Pull the ribbon cable out of the socket.

  9. Lift the hard drive up and out of the laptop.

  10. Remove the seven 0.7mm Phillips #00 screws securing the fan in place.

  11. Unplug fan from motherboard.
  12. Lift and remove fan from case.

  13. Lift up the protective covering away from the RAM using tweezers, or your fingers.

  14. Two clips secure the RAM module in place, one on each side. Using your fingers, spread the clips away from the RAM module.

  15. When released, the RAM module will pop up at a slight angle.
  16. Lift the RAM module to an angle of about 30 degrees and slide it out.

  17. Remove the nine 0.7mm Phillips #00 screws from the motherboard.

  18. Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flaps on all of the ribbon cable ZIF sockets.
  19. Pull the ribbon cables out of the sockets.
  20. Lift up and remove the motherboard.
