Steps:
- Disconnect all power from the laptop and turn over so the bottom is facing you.
- Remove the twelve 07.mm Phillips #0 screws from the back cover.
- Work a plastic opening tool underneath and around the perimeter of the bottom cover.
- Once unclipped, remove the bottom cover.
- Remove the two 0.7mm Phillips #00 screws from the battery and unplug the battery from the motherboard.
- Lift the battery out of the case.
- Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the hard drive ribbon cable ZIF socket.
- Pull the ribbon cable out of the socket.
- Lift the hard drive up and out of the laptop.
- Remove the seven 0.7mm Phillips #00 screws securing the fan in place.
- Unplug fan from motherboard.
- Lift and remove fan from case.
- Lift up the protective covering away from the RAM using tweezers, or your fingers.
- Two clips secure the RAM module in place, one on each side. Using your fingers, spread the clips away from the RAM module.
- When released, the RAM module will pop up at a slight angle.
- Lift the RAM module to an angle of about 30 degrees and slide it out.
- Remove the nine 0.7mm Phillips #00 screws from the motherboard.
- Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flaps on all of the ribbon cable ZIF sockets.
- Pull the ribbon cables out of the sockets.
- Lift up and remove the motherboard.
