Steps:

  1. Field Test Mode (FTM) can be useful if you perform tests on signal strength, but for most users it prevents some applications to run correctly.
  2. The phone screen will display FTM when in the mode.

  3. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off the phone.

  4. Press the power button until your phone responds to power on the phone.
  5. To assure your phone does not stay in FTM, DO NOT press the lower volume button. Pressing of the lower volume button is the reason your phone enters FTM.

  6. If the phone is still in FTM after the reboot, make sure the lower volume button is not stuck.
  7. After the button is unstuck, repeat step three.
