Steps:

1. Slide the battery release latch to the side. {2}
2. Slide the battery out of the battery bay. {1}

3. Loosen the ten captive screws on the base cover and lift the cover off the computer at an angle as shown in the figure.

4. NOTICE: To prevent damage to the memory module connector, do not use tools to spread the memory module securing clips.
5. Use your fingertips to carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end of the memory module connector until the module pops up.
6. Remove the module from the connector.
