Steps:

1. Power off the device before disassembly.
2. Remove the single 8mm Phillips #1 screw just beneath the lock symbol on the bottom of the laptop.

3. Use your screwdriver to shift the tab to the left, towards to Optical Drive.
4. Push the tab to the left until the Optical drive is protruding from the side of the laptop.

5. Pull the Optical Drive firmly out from its slot to remove it from the laptop.
