Steps:

1. WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.
2. Turn the computer over.
3. Slide the battery lock latch and the battery release latch to the unlock position.

4. Pull the battery up and out of the battery bay.

5. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the computer, use only the battery designed for this particular Dell computer. Do not use batteries designed for other Dell computers.
6. Align the slots on the battery with the tabs in the battery bay.

7. Push the battery in place till it snaps into place.

8. Slide the battery lock latch to the lock position.
