CMT-CP1 Rotary encoder cleaning/replacing

Description: Here I fix the rotary encoder volume control....

Steps:

  1. Remove the screws

  3. Remove the flex cables with easy access
  4. Step image
  5. Remove the screws on both sides and on the bottom
  6. Step image Step image
  7. Remove the front and the rest of the cables
  8. Step image
  9. Remove the cassette deck (this is to access the screw beneath it)

  11. Remove the screws (you have to remove the casetdeck to access the orange screw)

  13. Remove the volume knob and the screw behind it
  14. Step image Step image
  15. Remove the screws
  16. Step image
  17. carefully lift up one side of the cassette deck and remove the pcb
  18. Step image
  19. Remove the taps to the side carefully
  20. Step image
  21. clean up your rotary encoder with a screwdriver, also the inside!
