Steps:

1. Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to undo the five screws. The top three screws are 10 mm and the two side screws are 7 mm.
2. Unscrew the bottom three screws using the same screwdriver.
3. The bottom Phillips #1 screws don't remove from the back plate, but do need to be unscrewed.
4. Some models have a slightly different screw configuration, shown in the second photo.

5. Turn computer so that the hinged side is facing up.
6. Use the plastic opening tool to pry open the back plate.
7. Drag the plastic opening tool along the edge from left to right and use a second opening tool to pry open the top right corner.
8. Repeat the 3rd step for the other side.
9. Repeat on Left and Right sides of the system. There are two points in the middle (on the left and right sides of the center screw) that will release with slight lifting pressure.
10. You should be able to hear a pop when prying open the corners.

11. Grab the back plate and separate it slowly away from the device.
12. No wiring is connected to the back plate. Separate with caution, as there are electric components on the inside.

13. Remove the 4mm screws that are fastened on the battery with your T9 Torx screwdriver.

14. Carefully remove the power supply connector by tugging it from the sides of its head.
15. Make sure not to pull on the wires, as they could become damaged.

16. Slide the battery out and remove it from the device.

17. The underside of the track pad should become apparent after battery removal. It is covered by a protective layer of mint green colored foam.
18. Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, unscrew the five 2 mm long screws which are along the side of the track pad.

19. Lift up on the connector gate with a pair of precision tweezers, which clamps down on the end of the ribbon cable.
20. In the second picture, the foam is pulled back for clarity.
21. With the pair of tweezers, firmly clamp down on the ribbon cable, and pull it away from the connector gate.

22. Lift up on the second connector gate with a pair of precision tweezers.
23. In the second picture, the foam is pulled back for clarity.
24. Use the tweezers to pull the Ribbon Cable away from the second connector gate.

25. Remove the track pad.
26. Be sure to pull out carefully. If the computer is closed, the screen will be exposed underneath the track pad.

27. After lifting the connector gate with the precision tweezers, gently pull on the ribbon cable that connects the clickers to the motherboard.

28. Using your Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the 3mm long screws on the underside of the track pad's clicker.
29. Make sure to move any ribbon cables back to ensure clear view of screws.
30. Pull the clicker out of the computer.
