Steps:

1. Remove the screw on the top of the boat to access the battery compartment. Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver.
2. Screw size is 16 mm in length.

3. Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding the cover in the direction of the back of the boat to disengage the lip holding it on.

4. Remove the 6 screws using a Phillips #2 screwdriver. Ensure you store the screws where you will not lose them.
5. Remove the battery cover once all the screws are removed.
6. Screw sizes are all 10.5 mm in length.

7. Replace with new batteries, which are 6 x AA. Make sure the positive and negative ends of the batteries align with the positive and negative connections in the battery compartment.
8. Check to make sure the boat is functional. If it is not powering on, consult the troubleshooting page.
