Steps:

1. On the right side of the controller, slide the small screw driver out.

2. Flip the controller over, so the black panels are facing up.

3. Unscrew the small screw on the left bottom side. The screw should be on the plastic piece that has an upwards facing arrow.
4. Repeat for the screw on the bottom right hand side.

5. Pull the plastic piece off to reveal the compartment where the batteries go.

6. Remove the old batteries.
