Steps:

1. Ensure the controller is powered off.
2. Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, unscrew the screw holding the battery lid on the controller. Keep in mind that the screw will be attached to the lid.
3. Remove lid and screw.

4. Remove batteries from battery compartment.
5. Discard the used batteries.
6. Place new batteries in the controller in the correct orientation.
