Steps:
- Remove the middle button by putting a plastic spudger or your fingernail underneath the button and lifting up.
- There will be two screws under the button you have removed. Use your Phillips #00 Screwdriver to remove these screws.
- With a plastic spudger or your fingernail, find the seam where the front and back panel connect and pry open from the bottom. After making a small opening, go around the device counter-clockwise.
- Before you separate the panels, there is a ribbon cable connecting the LCD to the motherboard. To avoid damage of the ribbon cable, lift the panel with the LCD from right to left like opening a book.
- This is the speaker unit, and is being held by a screw. Use a Phillips #00 Screwdriver to remove the screw indicated by the red circle in the second image.
- The speaker is still connected to the motherboard by a little connector. Using a plastic spudger or your fingernail, pry the connector to the direction marked by the two red arrows in the second image.
- After removing the connector, you can now remove the speaker. Use your spudger or fingernail to lift the speaker up. The speaker should come out easily.
