Türlitoaster 77356 Switch Replacement

Steps:

1. First unplug the toaster. Unscrew the toaster on the underside. 2 of the 4 screws are secured with a 3-sided screw 2.3.

2. Loosen 6 Phillips screws to access the switch.
3. The switch can now be desoldered and replaced by e.g. this PWL-2P1TL-6SASHA power switch, pressure switch 250 V/AC 6 A 2 from Conrad. But the nose must be shortened

4. I did not want to wait for the switch and tried to open the old switch.
5. For this you have to carefully bend open the 4 metal clips. On the back side melt or break the welded white pin.
6. On the photo you can see the slide that closes the two contacts left and right. On the photo the slide is inserted wrongly by me.
7. You can see that one side is charred and the slide is melted. This meant that the contact could no longer close tightly and had a loose contact.
8. With a heated screwdriver I was able to shape the slide back to shape. I cleaned the contacts with contact spray and "impregnated" them with Balistol.Then reassembled and bent the metal clips back.
9. Assembly in reverse order.
