Steps:

1. Turn the device over so that the lower case is facing up.
2. Slide the battery release latch. The battery will pop up.

3. Lift and remove the battery from its compartment.

4. Loosen the two Phillips #1 screws that connect the service panel to the device.
5. These are captive screws and cannot be fully removed. They will remain attached to the service panel.
6. Slide the service panel down and pull it up to remove.

7. Remove the one 7 mm Phillips #1 screw securing the keyboard to the device.

8. Flip over the device and open the screen.

9. Flip the keyboard over and locate the black ribbon cable that attaches the keyboard to the device.
10. Using a plastic opening tool, flip up the white tab on the zero insertion force connector.
11. Disconnect the ribbon cable by sliding it out of the ZIF connector.
12. Remove the keyboard.
