Toshiba Satellite C675-S7106 CMOS Battery Replacement

Description: Sometimes a CMOS battery needs to be replaced...

Steps:

  1. Flip the laptop over, so that the "top" of the laptop is against your working surface.
  2. Orient the laptop so that the silver label is in the bottom-left corner, with the battery facing you.

  3. On the right side of the battery, move the tab marked 1 to the right, unlocking the battery.
  4. On the left side of the battery, hold the tab marked 2 to the left while pulling the battery towards you.

  5. Rotate the laptop so that the battery cavity faces away from you.
  6. Unscrew the single PH0-head screw connecting the center panel to the laptop.
  7. This screw does not need to be completely removed, as it's permanently attached to the device.
  8. Using a plastic spudger, unclip and remove the panel from the device.

  9. Using a thin pry tool, gently remove the battery from its socket.
