Steps:
- Check out other guides for removal of the keyboard for Lenovo N23/N21 Chromebooks.
- Remove the screws from the bottom of the Chromebook.
- On a clean surface, fold the Chromebook screen over to the back to remove the keyboard.
- Using a Jimmy remove the keyboard starting at the top of the keyboard.
- When the entire keyboard has been popped up lift the keyboard from the end opposite the trackpad and carefully disconnect the trackpad and keyboard ribbon cables.
- Flip over the keyboard so that the keys side is down and place it to the side of your workspace.
- Check that the thermal pad is still stuck to either the keyboard or the motherboard.
- Power off the computer by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
- Disconnect the battery
- Remove the ribbon cable connecting the Daughter and Motherboard from the motherboard side first.
- Remove the ribbon cable from the daughter board.
- Remove the four screws to release the motherboard.
- Disconnect the speaker wire from the daughterboard.
- Remove the daughterboard from the Chromebook.
- Place the new daughterboard in the chromebook.
- Plug in the speakers to the daughterboard.
- Screw the daughterboard into place.
- Connect the ribbon cable, first to the daughterboard and then to the motherboard.
