2010 Telstra t-box Teardown

Steps:

1. Place your system on a flat surface and make sure all cables are disconnected from the system before dissasembly

2. Flip the device over and remove the hard drive cover (I dont have a hard drive cover on my t-box)
3. Peel off the warranty sticker and remove the 4 screws

4. Pull the casing off being careful of the cables connected to the case.
5. carefully disconnect those cables and proceed

6. After disconnecting the cables, you can remove the top half of the outer case.

7. remove the black tape holding the USB wifi adapter in place, then remove it the same way you would remove a USB stick

8. remove the ribbon cable on both ends and then carefully remove the IR sensor's board from the device
9. Please note that there is a metal tab thing holding the board in place, pull it a little bit and remove the board

10. Remove the screws holding the circut board in place
11. There is a screw on the hard drive cover next to the board, remove it
12. remove the hard drive and you should be able to get the main board

13. Take some nice pics of the t-box
14. To put it back together, do all these steps in reverse
