Steps:

  1. Remove all the food and containers from the shelves on the refrigerator door.
  2. Measure the depth of the magnetic strip along the door trim.
  3. Do not remove the bracket at the top of the door before you measure the depth of the magnetic strip.

  5. Remove the plastic cover with a plastic tool to avoid breaking or damaging the cover.
  6. Pry open the cover at the arrow indicated on the cover.

  8. Remove the three 10 mm hex nuts.
  9. Use a socket wrench to loosen the nuts. Set the nuts aside in a safe place.
  10. Only remove the hex nuts after measuring the depth of the magnetic strip. You need the depth of the magnetic strip to properly align the door during the hinge installation.

  12. Remove the mounting bracket.
  13. Open the door 90 degrees. Lift the door up and off the refrigerator.
  14. Set the door on a soft surface to prevent scratches on the front of the door.

  16. Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the screw from the metal bracket on the bottom of the door. Lift the metal bracket off the plastic mount.
  17. Grab the broken door hinge by the side and pull it from the hole.
  18. Insert the new hinge and tighten the screw.

  20. You may want another person to hold the door while you attach it.
  21. Hold the door facing 90 degrees from the refrigerator.
  22. Use an index finger to get the position of the hole on the door to be placed onto the bracket hinge of the refrigerator.
  23. Set the door onto the mounting bracket.

  25. Make sure that the door is level with the opposite door.
  26. Make sure that the magnetic strip is at the same depth you measured in step 2.
  27. Place the top bracket over the bolts. Tighten the three 10 mm nuts to hold the bracket in place.
  28. Replace the bracket cover and snap it back into place.
  29. Test the door opening and closing before filling the shelves on the refrigerator door.
