2012 Fiat 500 Lift Support Replacement

Steps:

1. Open the back hatch for your 2013 Fiat 500 and prop it open.
2. You want to make sure the trunk door will not close while you are repairing the lift support.

3. Open the lock from the sides.
4. Open the lock on up hinge and release the clevis. Open the lock on the down hinge and release the clevis.

5. Remove both locks on the new lift support.
6. Pull the lock outward and make sure they are not lost as they will be needed later.

7. Install the down hinge on the clevis.

8. Install the lock into the clevis.
9. Lock the hinge with the clevis.

10. Expand the lift support up.

11. Install the up hinge on the clevis.

12. Push the middle of the lock in.
13. Lock the hinge with the clevis. Then unlock the trunk door and check its workability.
