Steps:

  1. Be sure to power off the device before beginning.
  2. Use a Torx T5 screwdriver to remove the ten 3 mm screws along the edge of the back panel.

  4. Remove the back panel from the laptop by sliding it away from the hinge.
  5. This device is missing the battery. Make sure to detach the battery connector before proceeding with laptop repairs.

  7. Detach the two connectors from the motherboard by gently pulling them directly out of their ports with your fingers.

  9. Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the two 3 mm screws holding the trackpad's circuit board to the chassis.
