Steps:

  1. Make sure your device is powered off and disconnected from the power adapter.
  2. Slide the lock all the way to the left. The battery should pop up.

  6. Slide the lock all the way to the right and remove the M2.5x8mm screw with a Philips #0 screwdriver.
  7. Make sure your device is turned off and your battery is removed.

  9. Slide the panel towards you and lift it up to open and access the back of the computer.

  11. Unscrew one M2.5x8mm screw using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
  12. The screw does not have to come out completely.

  14. Push the metal tip to the left with a screwdriver.

  16. Pull out the CD/DVD ROM with your hand.

  18. Unscrew three M2.5x8mm screws using Phillips #0 screwdriver.

  20. Put your finger through the hole to push out the keyboard from its place.
  21. Keep in mind to push rather hard to fully remove the keyboard from the actual laptop.

  23. Carefully lift keyboard to reveal connection strips.
  24. Unlock the latch holding the connection strips.
  25. Pull out the connection strips from the motherboard.

  27. Your HP EliteBook 8560w has two pairs of RAM: one below the keyboard and the other below the back panel. This guide begins removing the pair below the keyboard, then proceeds to the one below the back panel.
  28. Pull both metal parts away from memory pair. Lift memory pair and it will come out.

  30. Flip device upside down. Pull metal bars away from the memory. Lift the memory up and it will pop out.
