Steps:

  1. Power off the device before starting.
  2. Remove the rubber strips that hide the screws using the spudger.
  3. Flip the device and unscrew the eleven screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

  4. Use the spudger tool to pry open the back cover.
  5. Lift the back panel to access the inside.
  6. Slide the CD drive to the left, and remove.

  7. Unscrew the three battery screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
  8. Lift the battery up, disconnecting the connector first.
  9. Push forward and remove the battery.
