Steps:
- Open the battery compartment, remove the batteries and remove the two Philips screws
- Remove the film casette from the film compartment.
- Remove the two Philips screws on the back.
- Remove the panel of the controls on the side. Start on the bottom. It is just sticked in with tape
- Gently pull the back cover while poking into the two holes on the bottom of the film compartment. Previously removed screws are also sufficient for this task.
- To remove the front cover lift the clips highlighted in this picture. The right one is hidden behind the wires.
- Congratulations. You did it. Safety Note: The black cylinder under the flash that looks like a battery is the flash capacitor. Ensure that it is discharged before you start tampering with the electronics.
- Charged capacitors can pose an electrocution danger. Be sure to discharge the capacitor before you begin working on the device.
- To discharge the capacitor shorten the two highlighted solder joints between the flash and capacitor with a big screwdriver or a paper clip. Make sure you do not touch any electronic parts except the two joints.
