Steps:

1. Turn off and unplug the laptop.
2. Flip the laptop so that the backplate is exposed.

3. Remove the eight screws with the T5 Torx screwdriver.

4. Using the plastic opening tools carefully lift the backplate.

5. Remove the 4 screws holding down the battery with the Phillips #1 screwdriver.

6. Disconnect the 3 wires connected to the battery.
7. Tweezers may be needed to disconnect the wires.

8. Lift the battery off of the alignment pins on the top cover and remove it from the device.
