Steps:

1. Unplug the lamp from the electrical socket.
2. Ensure that there is no electrical charge in the lamp by turning the lamp on and off.

3. Turn the lamp shade knob in a counterclockwise direction to remove it.
4. Lift the lampshade to remove it.

5. Turn the light bulb in a counterclockwise direction to remove it.

6. Lift the tabs up from the base.
7. Squeeze the lamp shade posts inward to release them.

8. Place the flat side of the screwdriver against the flat side of the nut inside of the base.

9. While placing pressure against the nut, grip the light socket and turn it in a clockwise direction until it is tight against the base.
