Steps:

1. Make sure that the motor is off and has had time to cool after being used.
2. Push in the clips on the top of the cover, and remove the cover.

3. Make a note of the position of the filter, and remove the cover.

4. Lightly bend the filter so that you can see all surfaces of the filter.

5. Use compressed air to blow out dirt or dust particles from the air filter.
6. You can bend it in several places to make sure you clean between each of the fins.

7. Seat the filter in the same position you made a note of in Step 2.
8. If the filter is still bent from cleaning it, lightly bend it in the opposite direction so that it can lay flat in your hand.
9. Place the cover onto the air filter. This shouldn't require any force, so the filter may need to be readjusted if it does require force.

10. Push the clips of the cover in until they click.
11. Check to make sure that the cover is secure, and there are no gaps for dirt or dust to get in.
