Steps:

  1. Ensure your car is turned off by checking that the key is in the off (O) position and that the engine is not running.
  2. Open the trunk by pulling the latch on the floor of the driver's side.

  4. In the trunk, remove these fasteners by prying the center piece out with the screwdriver.
  5. Expose the bulbs by pulling the trunk lining away from the walls of the trunk.

  7. Rotate the turn signal socket ¼ turn counterclockwise. The turn signal socket is located below the main taillight bulb and closer to the middle of the car.
  8. You will be able to pull the socket out of its housing and expose the blown bulb.

  10. Remove just the blown bulb from the socket. A bit of force might be required to get it separated, but once it is, just the bulb and its rectangular, flat base should remain.
  11. Put the new bulb in.
