Steps:

  1. First switch off the coffee machine and unplug it.
  2. Now slide the spudger/screwdriver between the plastic cap and the cover and gently pry in the direction of the coffee machine. This pushes the cover over the barb.
  3. Grab the cover by the sides and pull it up. This is often very difficult, so pull it hard but not excessively.

  4. Tilt the spout forward and lift it upward.
  5. Pull off the hose and the outlet is free.
  6. When assembling, note that the sleeve can get caught on the spout. Therefore, press the spout in when pushing the sleeve down.
