ID: 135768
Description: This guide is catered to those with a shower...
Steps:
- Gloves are optional should you desire them. They may help to keep yourself as clean as possible.
- Remove the drain snake from it's packaging. Be sure to straighten out your drain snake as much as possible for ease of use.
- Make sure that its edges are firm, or else it will not be able to snag the material easily.
- Unscrew the drain. This step is also optional, but it will be easier to help utilize the drain snake to its max potential.
- After removing the handle, use a screwdriver to remove the rest of the drain.
- Make sure drain is not closed throughout this step.
- Stick your drain snake as deep into the drain gateway as you can. The further down you go, the greater the results. May also vary depending on status of drain.
- Spin and turn the drain snake around to gather as much material as you can.
- After removing drain snake, extract all material from the snake and dispose of it in the garbage. Repeat this step until you have reached satisfactory results.
- Take out your pump and a container full of warm water.
- Extract water from your container and exert pressure into the drain to clean it out.
- Repeat step a few times, and then test the status of your drain by starting up your bath tub and seeing if water flows naturally down the drain.
- If everything goes as planned, your bath tub drain should be of good use again!
