Steps:
- Pin down the ripped portion of the jeans back pocket.
- Use as many pins as needed to ensure the pocket does not slip from the correct place while sewing.
- Thread the needle with the polyester thread.
- Use about an arms length of thread to ensure that you have enough to sew with.
- Cut the ends of the thread.
- Tie a double knot at the end of the two threads.
- Start to sew from the bottom of the pocket up.
- Remove pins as the needle and thread approaches the pins.
- Loop the needle through the thread to tie a knot to end and secure the sewing.
- Cut the loose threads to clean up the sewing.
