Steps:

1. Problem: The middle and right segments can no longer be slid into one another.
2. This can be resolved by destroying the nipple in the groove shown in image 2. Warning: This will destroy this small part of the device.

3. To easily reach the nipple, the stuck middle and lower segments must be pushed together slightly. To do this, push the entire handle section together and operate the red lever as usual.
4. Push the two segments together until the nipple (already damaged in the 2nd image) is in the center of the groove shown.

5. Use pliers, a knife, or another suitable tool to remove enough of the nipple in the groove so that the segments of the handle can be pushed back together.
