Steps:

1. The three screws on the side can be loosened by a 0.9mm Allen key.
2. The cover can then be removed.

3. The next four screws are encapsulated in silicone. A Phillips screwdriver (PH1) can simply be pushed through the silicone and the screws can be loosened.
4. The outer ring including the plastic cover can then be removed.

5. The electronics are now visible. Take out the circuit board by removing the two Phillips #1 screws.
6. After loosening the screws, the circuit board can be carefully turned over in the direction of the cables.

7. There is a plastic cover under the circuit board. This can be removed using the iFixit spudger.
8. The 18650 battery cells are now visible and can be removed.
