How to Remove Stains From a Porcelain Sink
ID: 140093
Description: Porcelain sinks are a beautiful addition to our...
Steps:
- Sprinkle water on the sink and use a paper towel to wipe the sink.
- The sink needs to be a little damp before starting the process so make sure you do not dry it completely.
- Wear a pair of Vinyl or your cleaning gloves and then sprinkle the baking soda on the damp sink.
- It is recommended to use a bowl for baking soda. If you use the box directly, you can accidentally drop too much baking soda on the sink.
- Take a wet sponge and use it to scrub the sink in circular motions. Scrub the harder stains with slightly more force.
- Make sure you squeeze the sponge beforehand to take out excess water so it is easier to scrub.
- Wait for 2 minutes and then spray hydrogen peroxide over the sink.
- If you cannot find hydrogen peroxide then you can also use liquid oxygen bleach as a substitute.
- Scrub again for another 2-3 minutes. Try to scrub the hard stains with a little force.
- Take half a lime/lemon and dip it in baking soda and then use it to clean any leftover rust stains.
- Scrub for 2-3 minutes.
- This step will also remove the peroxide/bleach smell.
- Turn the tap on and use the sponge to wipe any leftover stains and residue from baking soda or lemon.
