Steps:

  1. Using the funnel, pour 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 7 tablespoons of sugar, 2 cups of lukewarm water, and 2 teaspoons of yeast into the 2L empty bottle.

  4. Shake the bottle rapidly for 15 seconds (or until the liquid has turned milky-white).

  6. Poke, drill, or cut a small hole in a 2L bottle cap and insert an airline tubing adaptor.
  7. Use some kind of glue or sealant to seal the top of the bottle cap, ensuring an airtight fit.
  8. Connect one end of the airline tubing to the airline tubing adapter, and the other end of the airline tubing to the CO2 diffuser.

  10. Seal the bottle with the airline tubing adapter by screwing it onto the top of bottle's open lid.

  12. Place the CO2 diffuser on the inside of the aquarium tank at below half-depth of the water-level.
  13. Most CO2 diffusers are able to be stuck to the inside glass of the tank to achieve stronger stability.
  14. Make sure the bottle is not placed too far away from the aquarium tank as to avoid any accidents or tears with the airline tubing.
