ID: 140124
Description: Replace a commercial CO2 pump system for any...
Steps:
- Using the funnel, pour 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 7 tablespoons of sugar, 2 cups of lukewarm water, and 2 teaspoons of yeast into the 2L empty bottle.
- Close the bottle.
- Shake the bottle rapidly for 15 seconds (or until the liquid has turned milky-white).
- Poke, drill, or cut a small hole in a 2L bottle cap and insert an airline tubing adaptor.
- Use some kind of glue or sealant to seal the top of the bottle cap, ensuring an airtight fit.
- Connect one end of the airline tubing to the airline tubing adapter, and the other end of the airline tubing to the CO2 diffuser.
- Seal the bottle with the airline tubing adapter by screwing it onto the top of bottle's open lid.
- Place the CO2 diffuser on the inside of the aquarium tank at below half-depth of the water-level.
- Most CO2 diffusers are able to be stuck to the inside glass of the tank to achieve stronger stability.
- Make sure the bottle is not placed too far away from the aquarium tank as to avoid any accidents or tears with the airline tubing.
