How to Replace Hot and Cold Water Pipes for a Washer

Steps:
- Before starting this guide, shut off your water to the washer and dryer. In this guide, valves are used. Some newer setups may use levers.
- Mark the hot and cold water pipelines with a marker for proper visuals.
- Hot water
- Cold water
- Using an adjustable wrench, disconnect the pipes carefully from the water supply side and the washer side.
- After the pipes are disconnected, re-check the leakage and rust in the washer installation.
- Rotate the adjustable wrench in a counter-clockwise direction to loosen the pipe connection.
- Make sure to remove the old white Teflon tape. Use a bucket and a piece of cloth for water damps from the connection.
- Set up the new pipes to be installed.
- Check for blockage or any cracks in the valve.
- Wrap the new piece of Teflon tape around the shut-off valve connection.
- Install and connect the new pipes using an adjustable wrench.
- Rotate the pipes in a clockwise direction to tighten up.
- Turn on the water supply. Perform a quick wash and check the connection.
