Steps:

1. Before starting this repair, power down and turn off the device.
2. To remove the battery, push the switch to the left until you hear and feel a click.
3. Remove the battery from the device.

4. Using a plastic opening tool or spudger, pull up the top part of the T panel.
5. After the head of the panel is up, gently pull it up and remove the T panel.

6. Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove four 4 mm screws from the hard drive.

7. Hold on to the Mylar tab and pull it up to remove the hard drive from the device.
8. Be cautious in this step. The connector cable is still connected to the disk and any sudden movements could break or damage it.

9. Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the four 4 mm screws securing the hard drive to the case.

10. Hold the opposite side of the disk (the part which does not have the cable connection) and pull it out of the carrying case.
11. Remember the connector cable is still attached to the driver, so be careful when moving the driver.

12. Gently disconnect the cable from the HDD/SSD and remove the disk drive from the device.
