Steps:

1. Use a ruler or something less than or equal to 2 millimeters thick to poke through the slit at the bottom of the key fob and pry the key fob's shell open.

2. Take out the key fob shell.

3. Poke a prying tool into the rectangular notch on the edge of the battery slot.

4. Gently lift out the battery.

5. Put the new battery into the slot.
6. The positive pole of the battery (marked with a plus sign) should face up.

7. Put the shell back in its original position.
8. You will hear a clicking sound when it snaps into place.
