Steps:

1. Shut down your laptop.
2. Make sure your laptop is completely turned off to prevent damaging other parts.

3. Flip the laptop on its back.
4. Remove the eleven 8 mm screws securing the back cover using the Phillips #1 screwdriver.

5. Loosen the back cover using a plastic opening tool.

6. Pull the back cover off and put it in a safe place.
7. A little bit of force is needed to pry open the clips at the corners of the laptop.

8. Remove the 2.6 mm screw that is holding down the SSD with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
9. Make sure to ground yourself before working on the motherboard to prevent damage.

10. Gently pull out the damaged SSD.

11. Slide in the new SSD.
12. Screw it in place.

13. Put the back cover on and gently snap the clips back in.
14. Screw the back cover in place.
