How to Dye a Used Shirt

Steps:
- The dye used for this guide is Rit DyeMore.
- Buy the product and make sure to read the instructions on the bottle.
- Weigh your shirt & follow instructions on the bottle according to weight to determine how much dye is needed.
- Pre-wash your clothing item and prepare your materials and work area.
- Add enough water in a stainless steel pot to let the clothing item move freely.
- Add 1 tsp of dish detergent to the pot.
- Cover the pot and let the water reach close to boiling temperature ~200 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add the desired amount of dye that was measured via the bottle to the water and turn the stove top temperature to simmer.
- Place wet clothing item in the solution.
- Stir slowly for 10 minutes.
- After the desired color is achieved, remove the item from the solution.
- Rinse the clothing item with warm water.
- Gradually use cooler water until the water runs clear.
- Wash the clothing item in warm water.
- Dry and enjoy your new clothing item!
