Steps:

1. Turn the device upside down.
2. Apply constant pressure to the base of your Audiovox, while holding the plastic casing until the casing is completely removed.

3. Remove the four screws from the base using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

4. Turn the device right-side up.
5. Gently pull the top panel off of the device.

6. Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screw found in the middle of the board.

7. Pull back the board gently to avoid disconnecting the attached wires.
8. This allows you to view the soldered connections on the other side, and the internal components.

9. One by one, de-solder the two wires that connect the power adapter to your Audiovox.

11. Soldering irons are extremely hot and can burn you if you touch them!
12. If you hold the soldering iron tip at the same spot for too long, it can strip the metal from the plastic board. You may not be able to solder wire to that point again.

13. Insert the wires of the new adapter into the designated holes and solder them into place.
