Steps:

1. Power off your laptop before starting.
2. Flip the device over so that the vents on the bottom are facing away from you.

3. Place your finger on the latch located in the center of the laptop.
4. Slide the latch to the right, applying enough force to reveal a red indicator.
5. You will hear a soft click when the latch has been disengaged.

6. Lift the battery by the top, away from the laptop body.

8. After removing the battery, remove the 2 Phillips #0 screws securing the service panel.
9. Slide the panel off after removing the screws.
