Steps:

1. Power off and unplug your device before you begin.
2. Orient the laptop so that it is bottom up, and the trackpad is closest to you.
3. Unscrew the seven captive screws with a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
4. These screws will loosen, but stay attached to the cover. Do not attempt to completely remove them.
5. Slide a blue opening pick in the gap between the bottom panel and chassis, and pry off the one clip on each side.
6. Remove the back cover from the device.

7. Use a Phillips #00 head screwdriver to remove the four 4 mm screws above the battery.

8. Lift the speaker modules on either side of the battery out of its pegs, and unwind the cable from the front of the battery.
9. Set the speaker modules out of the way.

10. Use tweezers to peel the plastic cover off the connector.
11. Use a spudger or your fingernail to pry up the battery straight up from the motherboard.

12. Lift the battery out of the frame and remove it from the device.

13. Gently take off the cover of the hinge of the computer with a combination of the opening tool and your hands.

14. Lift up the covering of the display using the opening tool.

15. Use a spudger to release the retaining flap on the cable connector.

16. Pull the wire that was connected to the retaining flap through the hinge.
17. Remove the display from the laptop.
