Steps:

1. Open the lid of the lighter.
2. Hold the bottom of the lighter’s case and pull out the metal container.
3. Set the case aside for now.

4. Turn the metal container upside down with the bottom facing you.
5. You should see a piece of white felt with the words “Lift to fill.”

6. Loosen the screw with a flathead screwdriver.
7. There is a spring behind the screw, so make sure you are unscrewing slowly and gently.
8. Remove the screw with the spring and the flint attached to it.

9. Lift the felt pad up and out of the metal container using a pair of tweezers.

10. Use a pair of tweezers to remove the old cotton from the inside.
11. When adding new cotton, it should fully cover the inside of the metal canister.
12. Throw the old felt and cotton in the garbage.

13. Use a pair of tweezers to push each cotton piece on top of the wick inside the metal container. Make sure the cotton pieces cover all the sides.

14. Use a pair of tweezers to place the new felt pad on top of the cotton pieces.

15. Replace the flint and screw it back into place using a flathead screwdriver.

16. Refuel your lighter, put the metal container back inside the case, and test out the lighter.
17. Only use the lighter when it is secured inside the case.
