Steps:
- Unscrew the Maglite head.
- Remember, to unscrew a flashlight head, turn it counterclockwise.
- Remove the lens.
- Remove the reflector cone.
- Examine the O-ring for damage.
- The O-ring is the black rubber band around the flashlight head.
- Remove the damaged O-ring.
- The O-ring is flexible, so it should be easy to pull off. Or, it may fall off if it is broken.
- Place the new O-ring in the same place as the original.
- The O-ring is flexible, so simply pull it on gently.
- Wipe the moisture from the reflector cone with a paper towel or soft cloth.
- Wipe the moisture from the lens with a paper towel or soft cloth.
- Replace the reflector cone.
- Replace the lens.
- Screw on the Maglite head.
- Remember, to screw on a flashlight head, turn it clockwise.
- Test the Maglite by turning it on.
- If your Maglite turns on, your work is complete!
