Steps:

  1. Unscrew the Maglite head.
  2. Remember, to unscrew a flashlight head, turn it counterclockwise.

  6. Remove the reflector cone.

  8. Examine the O-ring for damage.
  9. The O-ring is the black rubber band around the flashlight head.

  11. Remove the damaged O-ring.
  12. The O-ring is flexible, so it should be easy to pull off. Or, it may fall off if it is broken.

  14. Place the new O-ring in the same place as the original.
  15. The O-ring is flexible, so simply pull it on gently.

  17. Wipe the moisture from the reflector cone with a paper towel or soft cloth.

  19. Wipe the moisture from the lens with a paper towel or soft cloth.
  20. Step image
  21. Replace the reflector cone.
  22. Replace the lens.

  24. Screw on the Maglite head.
  25. Remember, to screw on a flashlight head, turn it clockwise.

  27. Test the Maglite by turning it on.
  28. If your Maglite turns on, your work is complete!
