MagLite 4D O-Ring Replacement

Steps:

1. Unscrew the Maglite head.
2. Remember, to unscrew a flashlight head, turn it counterclockwise.

3. Remove the lens.

4. Remove the reflector cone.

5. Examine the O-ring for damage.
6. The O-ring is the black rubber band around the flashlight head.

7. Remove the damaged O-ring.
8. The O-ring is flexible, so it should be easy to pull off. Or, it may fall off if it is broken.

9. Place the new O-ring in the same place as the original.
10. The O-ring is flexible, so simply pull it on gently.

11. Wipe the moisture from the reflector cone with a paper towel or soft cloth.

12. Wipe the moisture from the lens with a paper towel or soft cloth.

13. Replace the reflector cone.
14. Replace the lens.

15. Screw on the Maglite head.
16. Remember, to screw on a flashlight head, turn it clockwise.

17. Test the Maglite by turning it on.
18. If your Maglite turns on, your work is complete!
