Steps:

1. Before beginning, make sure the laptop is completely turned off by pressing the off button and waiting for the screen to turn black.
2. Flip the laptop over.
3. Remove all the 6.5mm screws (black) and the 4.8mm long screws (silver) using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

4. Use an iFixit opening tool to wedge in between the case and the body of the laptop.
5. Start from the front and work down both sides, disconnecting clips.
6. Remove the bottom case from the body.

7. Remove six 4.8mm screws (silver) using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

8. Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap securing the ribbon cable
9. Remove the white ribbon cable from its connector.

10. Remove the single silver 4.3 mm screw with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

11. Remove the SD card reader from the laptop.
