Steps:

1. Place the roller skate so the heel is touching the table and the toe is pointing up.

2. Loosen the nut with the wrench.

3. Twist the toe stop off with your hand.

4. Twist and remove the washer, split lock washer, and nut with your hand.

5. Place the nut, split lock washer, and washer on your new toe stop.

6. Align the thread of the toe stop screw with the thread on the skate.
7. The threads on the bolt are a soft metal and can bend, chip or break if you force the thread when screwing the toe stop back on.

8. Twist the toe stop back on with your hand.

9. Tighten the nut with the wrench to secure the toe stop in place.
10. Do not over tighten the nut as this can damage the threads on the toe stop or the skate.
11. You will know it's tight enough when you can no longer twist the toe stop off with your hand.
